No Pills – Day 6

10:00 a.m.  Yesterday was the best day yet, belly wise.  It was late evening before I had a rush trip to the bathroom.  I think maybe my guts have a bad habit that is hard to break.

It is raining and thundering today.  We are hibernating.  The dogs were really fast finding a good spot to potty this morning in the drizzle.  We made it back inside just before the big deluge.  Thunder in Florida seems to roll longer than in Ohio.  It has something to do with the flat land.  I have noticed that out west in flat country also.

We have a tornado watch all day today.  When traveling you always want to try to know what county you are in since that is how they announce weather information.  If there is a tornado WARNING I will make a run for the office restroom.  There is a number code to get in.  Sure hope they haven’t changed it lately.

I think I recognize some of the robins who are enjoying the rain.  They may be some of the same ones who come to my back yard in Ohio.  The rain brings bugs and worms to the surface and they take advantage.  There are even cardinals here.

After a rain the nature trail becomes an effort in navigation.  Low spots are puddles and a lot of what looks like a dry area is still mushy.

4:00 p.m.  We have had one very close lightening strike that made the electricity blink and the dogs get nervous.   But the rain stopped long enough for another walk this afternoon.  There are puddles all around the RV, maybe more like a pond.  Silly didn’t want to jump out of the RV so we had to take her front paws and put them down on the step, then pull.  She made it fine and didn’t melt.

The tornado watch has expired and we are fine.  Nothing like a little excitement.

Later….
